From the Road

Trey Merrill is a New Orleans-rooted Americana songwriter currently based in Austin Texas. His songs are shaped by the spirit of New Orleans, the Gulf Coast, the long miles of the American road and a lifetime spent behind the curtain of the music business.

After decades working in concert production and touring with artist across the country, Merrill eventually traded riding the bus for driving one. These days he splits his time betweeen the stage, the highway and the quiet hours where songs get written.

From freight trains and barrooms to sailboats and backroads, his music follows the people, ghosts and stories that live somewhere between leaving home and finding your way back.
